Cyber Safety and Codes of Conduct: Agreement between Heathmont College, Melbourne and SMPN1 Karangmojo, Yogjakarta.
ICT-based Challenges
To ensure cyber safety within this BRIDGE project, clear guidelines were placed prior to the project. Teacher and student participants in this project have to sit through a short session on cyber safety and proper use of social networking systems. Student accountability, e-safety issues and online behaviour expectations were discussed with the participants. Participants also had to adhere to accepted College conduct and responsibilities on using the Internet.
As the project used a classroom blog moderated by the teacher, online behaviour was also monitored quite successfully.
This type of project entails a lot of planning and preparation. We had to initially familiarize ourselves with the technologies before using them in class. During each lesson, time was allocated to equip students with basic knowledge on new applications such as Skype and wikispaces to ensure all participants have the basic ICT skills to work productively in this project.

Untuk menjamin keamanan dunia maya dalam proyek BRIDGE,pedoman yang jelas ditempatkan sebelum proyek.Guru dan siswa peserta dalam proyek ini harus berdiskusi melalui pertemuan pendek membahas keamanan dunia maya (cyber safety) dan penggunaan yang tepat dari sistem jejaring sosial. Tanggung jawab siswa, isu-isu keselamatan dan perilaku online didiskusikan dengan peserta. Peserta juga harus mematuhi dan menerima aturan sekolah serta bertanggung jawab dalam menggunakan Internet.
Proyek menggunakan blog kelas dimoderatori oleh guru,perilaku online juga dipantau dan cukup berhasil.
Jenis proyek memerlukan banyak perencanaan dan persiapan.Kami harus membiasakan diri dengan teknologi sebelum menggunakannya di kelas.Selama pelajaran, waktu dialokasikan untuk membekali siswa dengan pengetahuan dasar tentang aplikasi baru seperti Skype dan Wikispaces untuk memastikan semua peserta memiliki keterampilan dasar TIK untuk bekerja secara produktif dalam proyek ini.
